The President of the Nepal Chamber of Commerce, Rajendra Malla, highlighted the challenges faced in creating an investment-friendly environment in the country. He emphasized that despite the increased liquidity of around Rs. 5 Kharba in financial institutions, the investment climate remains unfavorable.

Malla pointed out the hindrance in investing due to high interest rates in banks and urged for a reevaluation of economic and financial policies. He also stressed the need for timely allocation of the national budget to match expected government expenditures. Additionally, Malla proposed an expansion of investments in sectors like agriculture, energy, tourism, and information technology to reduce the trade deficit. Lastly, he suggested controlling the unemployment rate by fostering growth in the productive sector through increased investments.
