Nepal Bankers' Association Warns the Public of Fundraising Scams on Social Media

Nepal Bankers' Association has issued a notice for the general public to be aware of money-raising scams on social media.

The association has requested the public to not transfer any fund to a person or an organization only based on requests received on social media platforms, many of which the association states, are scams instigated by fake accounts.

Since it is difficult to separate credible fundraisers from scammers, Nepal Bankers' Association has requested the public to first verify the source in person before making a financial transaction.

The association also informed the public to not share their account details, pin number, mobile/internet banking details, etc. with anyone.
