ShareSansar, October 1:

The paid-up capital of Nepal Bank Limited has reached Rs 4 arba after it issued rights shares to the shareholders earlier this year.

To soar up its paid-up capital, the oldest bank in the country had allotted 3.61 crore unit rights shares at 1:9.5 ratio to its shareholders in August, and auctioned the unclaimed 24.9 lakh unit right shares in September.

The commercial bank had received 1100 bids for the unsubscribed 2.49 million units of rights shares from the public, and the shares were allotted to 40 buyers who had bid for more than Rs 135.55 per unit.

There was a very good response to the auction and the investors had bid for 8.9 million unit shares at a price of Rs 135 to Rs 180 in a sealed tender document.

Civil Capital Market, the issue manager, has informed that it will start returning the money of those who did not get the shares from today.
