Nepal Bank Limited, the first bank of the country gets 'A Class' rating by ICRA Nepal Limited

Nepal Bank Limited (NBL), the first bank of the country, has been rated as the 'A Class Bank' by ICRA Nepal Limited, NBL spokesman Prakash Kumar Adhikari stated in a press release on Friday.

Adhikari said that this ranking from the world famous rating company, Moody's, has enhanced NBL's image further.

The bank has been providing its services from its all branches across the country by mobilising limited number of employees adopting full safety measures even in the present adverse situation created by the COVID-19 pandemic, the press release states.

According to ICRA Nepal, the key factors considered in the rating process are: the operating and regulatory environment; ownership structure and government support; governance structure; franchise; management, risk positioning, systems and strategy; asset quality; diversity of funding and liquidity; profitability; and capital adequacy, among others.
