Nepal Bank expands QR code-based payment at Karnali; aims to digitize local transactions

Nepal Bank has initiated QR code-based payment system at different places in Karnali.

The QR code system was inaugurated by the chairman of Nepal Bank Mr. Madhu Kumar Marasini amid a program on Chaitra 19, 2077.

The event was also attended by the CEO of the bank Mr. Krishna Bahadur Adhikari, Birendranagar BM of the bank Mr. Ganesh Kumar K.C., Surkhet FNCCI Secretary Mr. Laxman Kandel, Acting Karnali province head of Nepal Rastra bank Mr. Samir Singh, Karnali and Sudurpashim province head of the bank Mr. Baburam Kafle, among others.

After the new arrangement, customers can pay for their purchases at different markets in the area through their mobile banking services by scanning bank’s QR code, as per the media statement.
