Nepal and India Chambers of Commerce Forge Stronger Economic Ties Ahead of Investment Summit

On the eve of the International Investment Summit in Nepal, the Nepal Chamber of Commerce, together with the Indian Chamber of Commerce and the Millennials Chamber of Commerce, agreed to enhance cooperation in economic and commercial areas.

The discussions focused on bilateral investment and trade facilitation. Chamber officials and a business delegation from India visited Nepal, welcomed by Kamlesh Agarwal, the President of the Nepal Chamber of Commerce.

Discussions before the conference addressed the investment environment and legal framework in Nepal. President Aggarwal highlighted Nepal as an attractive investment destination and expressed readiness to support the Indian private sector in boosting exports and customs facilitation.

He emphasized investment potential in tourism, hydropower, and small and medium industries. Anil Trigunayat, president of the Millennial Chamber, expressed interest in sectors like energy and tourism, indicating their readiness to invest in Nepal.
