Need for youth self-employment stressed
KATHMANDU, July 5:
Former Finance Minister Barshaman Pun has said that the political parties and their youth leaders should work toward making youths self-employed.
"Realizing the need to encourage youth to take up entrepreneurship, the government led by our part had introduced youth self-employment program.
All the parties should own this program," said Pun, speaking at an interaction organized by National Youth Federation Nepal in capital on Saturday.
Similarly, National Planning Commission member Yagya Bahadur Karki stressed the need for political stability for the implementation of the government policies and programs, which will help create employment opportunities in the country.
Executive Director of Youth and Small Business Self Employment Fund Binod Kumar Guragai said that the program is being implemented in 73 districts of the country through various cooperatives.
