NEA Issues Final Warning to Defaulters to Clear Dues ; Deadline Expires This Sunday

The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has extended the deadline for various industries to clear dues related to dedicated feeders and trunk lines set to expire this Sunday. According to NEA none of the defaulters has stepped forward to settle outstanding payments.
Despite a 21-day notice issued the last month by state-owned power utility with a deadline expiring on October 19 no payments have been made.
The move targets industries that have long benefited from uninterrupted electricity but failed to pay corresponding charges. NEA officials stated that no further extension will be granted, and strict action including power disconnection will begin immediately after the deadline passes.
