The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has issued a notice regarding planned power interruptions in select regions of Kathmandu, commencing from May 5th and continuing through May 10th, 2024. The purpose behind these interruptions is to facilitate the undergrounding of electricity distribution lines.

Residents residing in areas serviced by the Kuleshwor, Kirtipur, and Jorpati distribution centers will be affected by these scheduled power cuts. The NEA has outlined a consistent schedule, wherein electricity supply will be suspended daily from 11 AM to 3 PM over the course of six consecutive days.

This proactive measure aims to enhance the efficiency and reliability of the electricity distribution network in the aforementioned areas. The NEA encourages affected residents to make necessary arrangements to mitigate any inconvenience caused by these temporary disruptions.
