NEA Announces Eight-Day Power Outages in Various Parts of Kathmandu

The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has announced scheduled power outages in several areas of Kathmandu for eight days, starting today. The disruptions will affect Kuleshwor, Baneshwor, Jorpati, and Kirtipur distribution centers as part of ongoing efforts to underground electrical distribution lines.
According to the NEA Project Management Directorate, electricity supply will be cut off from 11 AM to 4 PM today in locations under the affected feeders.
The schedule for power outages in the coming days is as follows:
- Monday: Areas around Bhatkekopul bridge (Chabahil)
- Tuesday: Areas around Kalanki Land Revenue Office
- Wednesday: Balkumari, Imadol, and Lubhu
- Thursday: Naikap to Balambu
- Friday: Balkhu to Chobhar Gate
- Sunday: Jorpati feeder from Baba Chowk to the Cricket Stadium
- Next Monday: Gaushala Chowk to Old Baneshwor
- Next Tuesday: Ratopul to Gaushala
The NEA has apologized for the inconvenience and assured that shutdowns will not take place if weather conditions are unfavorable.
