NCHL receives BPA Award 2019; receives felicitation in the general category for its outstanding presentation of annual report and disclosures

Nepal Clearing House Ltd. (NCHL) has been awarded the first position for the Best Presented Award (BPA) 2019 under General Sector (Others) category in the annual event organized today by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN). The award has been entitled on the basis of the evaluation of NCHL's annual report & disclosures for the fiscal year 2075/76 and recognized by ICAN.

NCHL had in the last year also been recognized as the 1st Runner-up by ICAN in the same category and was later awarded at SAARC region for the year 2018 in the category Public Sector Entities under ‘SAFA Best Presented Annual Report Awards’.

Corporate governance and disclosures are something that NCHL has inherited as its DNA from its promotors including Nepal Rastra Bank and the banks & financial institutions. NCHL believes that it will be key for building trust in the industry and at the general public. And through public trust, it is possible to positively impact the development of the digital payments industry. The BPA Award for 2019 is the testimony of the disclosures and detailing of the annual financial reporting being published each year by NCHL.

NCHL has been operating NCHL-ECC, NCHL-IPS, connectIPS e-payment, connectRTGS and National Payments Interface (NPI) as part of the national payments infrastructure with the participation of almost all BFIs, insurance companies, remittance, merchant banks, PSPs, PSOs, Government & Semi-Government entities and others as indirect/ technical members.
