NCHL increases settlement session for its inter-bank NCHL-IPS service; customers can now get their transactions settled on same day if approached within 3 pm

Nepal Clearing House NCHL has extended the settlement session for its NCHL- IPS inter-bank payment service so that the customers can get more time to have their digital payment settled on the same day of the transaction.

With the new arrangement, customers can now get their inter-bank transactions cleared beginning from 9 am till 3 pm between Sundays and Thursdays for the Nepalese currency and from Monday till Thursday for foreign currency. However, the payments that are carried out after the prescribed time will be carried forward for the next day. Moreover, the treasury payment of the bank will now be settled by 3:30 pm if received within the due time. Likewise, the settlement session for Fridays has been set till 12:30 pm, as per the media statement.

NCHL is currently operating a range of payment channels like NCHL-ECC, NCHL-IPS, connectIPS, connectRTGS, NPI / CORPORATEPAY where almost every banks of the nation, as well as the Nepal Rastra Bank, are the associated members, as per the media statement.
