Ncell employees give Rs 1m to Sunkoshi victims
KATHMANDU, August 10:
Employees of Ncell has provided financial support of Rs 1 million to District Natural Disaster Relief Committee, Sindhupalchowk, for relief and rehabilitation of families affected by Sunkoshi flood and landslide.
Mahendra Bhattachan, security director of Ncell, and officials of Ncell Employees Trade Union, handed over the check issued in the name of the committee to Gopal Prasad Parajuli, Chief District Officer of Sindhupalchowk, on Friday.
"The support is an initiative of Ncell employees and management to contribute in the relief efforts made by the district disaster relief committee.
We hope this will help to minimize the pain of families affected by landslide and flood in Sindhupalchowk," a statement issued on Sunday quoted Sanju Koirala, corporate communication director of Ncell, as saying.
Ncell had also provided bonus balance worth Rs 100 to its customers in the disaster-hit areas -- Sukute, Khandichour, Lamosanghu, Dolalghat and Barhabise -- last week in order to support their emergency communications.
