Ncell and MetLife Nepal Launch ‘Data Sangai Jeevan Beema’ to Combine Mobile Data with Insurance

Ncell and MetLife Nepal have partnered to introduce ‘Data Sangai Jeevan Beema’, a first-of-its-kind offering that combines mobile data with life and critical illness insurance. The initiative allows Ncell customers to choose from two packages:

i. Rs. 99 Pack: 100MB data valid for 3 days, term life insurance of Rs. 200,000, and critical illness coverage of Rs. 200,000 for 30 days.

ii. Rs. 39 Pack: 100MB data valid for 3 days, term life insurance of Rs. 50,000, and critical illness coverage of Rs. 50,000 for 30 days.

Customers can subscribe via the Ncell App or by dialing 1234#; term life coverage starts instantly, while critical illness coverage has a 30-day waiting period.

This initiative aims to expand insurance access to underserved communities with a low-cost, fully digital solution, advancing financial inclusion and social protection in Nepal. Both Ncell and MetLife emphasize the program’s potential to provide meaningful coverage and peace of mind to Nepali families, marking a significant step in the country’s digital and financial services landscape.
