Ncell and MetLife Launch ‘Data Sangai Jeevan Beema’, Combining Mobile Data with Insurance Protection

Ncell and MetLife Nepal have jointly introduced ‘Data Sangai Jeevan Beema’, a first-of-its-kind service that integrates mobile data with life and critical illness insurance. The collaboration offers two affordable packs: Rs. 99 for 100MB data plus Rs. 200,000 coverage each for life and critical illness, and Rs. 39 for 100MB data with Rs. 50,000 coverage each, both valid for 30 days. Customers can easily subscribe via the Ncell App or by dialing 1234*6#.

The initiative aims to make insurance accessible to underserved communities through low-cost, digital enrollment. Ncell’s Chief Consumer Business Officer Upanga Dutta said the partnership reflects a social commitment to enhance customer well-being, while MetLife’s Chief Distribution Officer Arun Bahadur Basnet emphasized that protection should be a right, not a privilege. This collaboration represents a major step toward financial inclusion and social protection in Nepal, offering users both connectivity and security in one simple package.
