NBB extends tenure

KATHMANDU:
A board meeting of Nepal Bangladesh Bank has extended the tenure of CEO Gyanendra Prasad Dhungana by another four years, a statement issued by the bank says. The bank is also extending 10 per cent bonus shares and 7.79 per cent cash dividend from profit made in the last fiscal year. The non-performing loan of the bank stood at 1.33 per cent of the credit portfolio in the first quarter of this fiscal. Till the end of first quarter, the bank had successfully mobilised Rs 20.87 billion in deposits and extended Rs 13.60 billion in loans.
