National Life Insurance posts net profit of Rs.33.63 Crore by the end of fourth quarter; EPS stands at Rs.11.18

National Life Insurance Company Limited (NLICL) has earned net profit of Rs 33.63 crore till the fourth quarter of FY 2075/76 with growth of 12.74%. The net profit figure is without the profit generated from actuarial valuation of assets and liabilities.

As per the unaudited report for the fourth quarter published today, the net earnings from premium increased by 27.24 % to Rs 7.80 arba till Q4 from Rs 6.13 arba in the corresponding quarter of last FY 2074/75. The number of policyholders decreased by 9.31% to 7.21 lakhs from 7.95 lakhs in the corresponding quarter last year.

The company has made a claim payment (net) of Rs 2.50 arba till Q4; same figure stood at Rs 1.74 arba in corresponding quarter of FY 2074/75. The claim payment rises by 43.69%.

NLICL has a paid-up capital of Rs 3 arba with a reserve of Rs 91.86 crore. Likewise, the company’s life insurance fund has increased to Rs 27.19 arba from Rs 21.82 arba in the corresponding quarter.

Its annualized EPS stands at Rs 11.18, net worth per share at Rs 130.55 and qtr end P/E ratio at 52.31 times.
