National Insurance Company reported net profit of Rs. 1.95 crore in Q2; net earnings from premium decreased by 17.04%

National Insurance Company Limited (NATINS) has published its second-quarter report for the fiscal year 2075/76.

The insurance company has reported a net profit of Rs 1.95 crore in the Q2 report which was in a loss of Rs 53.58 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.

As per the unaudited report for the second quarter published today, National Insurance has a negative reserve of Rs 38.38 crore. Likewise, the company’s insurance fund has increased to Rs 99.96 crore from Rs 83.23 crore in the same quarter of the previous FY 2074/75.

The net earnings from premium decrease to Rs 36.67 crore in Q2 from Rs 44.20 crore in the last year's corresponding quarter.

The company’s number of policyholders has also decreased to 11,825 from 15,496 in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
