National Hydro Power Company (NHPC) Reschedules AGM

National Hydro Power Company Limited (NHPC) has rescheduled its 25th AGM. Although planned to be held on 30th Falgun, the meeting will now be held on Chaitra 11, 2078. The meeting will be held in Delish Opera Resort and Banquet starting at 1 pm that day.
Among other agendas, the AGM will endorse a 19.5% dividend for the fiscal year 2077/78. The dividend is distributed on the paid-up capital of Rs. 1,38,51,86,200.
18.525% bonus shares and 0.975% cash dividends have been proposed. Thus, the bonus shares are worth Rs. 25,66,05,743.55 and the cash dividend is worth Rs. 1,35,05,565.45. The cash dividend has been proposed for the tax amount on bonus shares.
The company will also issue 50% right shares on the paid-up capital maintained after bonus adjustment.
This AGM will also endorse the acquisition of Sunkoshi Hydropower Company Limited in a share swap ratio of 1: 0.25. Thus, shareholders who hold 100 shares of Sunkoshi Hydropower Company will now get 25 shares of National Hydro Power Company.
Furthermore, the AGM will elect 7 board members.
Falgun 13 was the book closure date. Thus, shareholders maintained before that day are entitled to the dividend payout and can also attend the AGM.
NHPC closed at Rs. 327 yesterday.
