Nabil Bank Launches Clean Drinking Water Campaign in Schools Nationwide
Nabil Bank Limited has launched the “Nabil Clean Drinking Water Campaign” on the occasion of World Water Day, aiming to improve access to safe drinking water in schools across Nepal. The campaign was inaugurated virtually by Chairman Nirvana Chaudhary in 123 schools.
Through this initiative, the bank has already provided clean drinking water to over 100,000 students, helping create a healthier and safer learning environment. The program, part of the bank’s corporate social responsibility efforts, focuses on improving student health, promoting hygiene, and ensuring sustainable access to safe water in government and community schools.
The campaign has been implemented across all seven provinces, covering dozens of schools in each region with technical support from Smart Paani. Despite high overall access to water in schools, the lack of purification systems remains a major challenge in Nepal, exposing children to health risks from contaminated water sources.
Nabil Bank stated that it will continue to expand and strengthen the campaign, reinforcing its commitment to social impact and sustainable development through initiatives in education, health, and community welfare.
