Myagdi Khola Hydro Power signs PPA with NEA for under construction 57.3 MW project; project to go online by 2023

Hydro Village Pvt Ltd that is constructing Myagdi Khola Hydropower has signed a power purchase agreement with Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA). The agreement was signed between MD of NEA Mr. Kulman Singh Ghising and chairman of hydro company Mr. Rameshwor Thapa.
The hydro project with installed capacity of 57.3 MW is being constructed with an investment of Rs 10 arba. The project is expected to complete the construction and power generation within 2023. 30% investment for the project will be arranged from foreign investors while remaining 70% will be arranged from the line of credit from national financial institutions, as stated in the media note. The power utility has agreed to purchase the produced electricity at Rs 4.80 during wet season and at Rs 8.40 during dry season.
