Muktinath Bikas Bank refunds interest amount worth more than Rs 59K and waves off remaining loan of Rs 2.11 lakh; husband of deceased customer in Damauli receives back the interest and loan indemnity

Muktinath Bikas Bank, under the social security scheme, has waved off the loan and returned the already paid interest of Late Mohani Maya Thapamagar who was the member of bank’s small and microfinance office of Damauli. The designated amount was handed over to husband of Late Thapamagar Mr. Bhupal Thapamagar by Damauli BM of the bank Mr. Udaya Raj Timalsina, head of microbanking Mr. Dhurab Raj Ghimire, and ward member Mr. Sur Bahadur Thapa amid a program.

The bank has handed over Rs 59.2K to the son of the deceased member in total including a funeral cost of Rs 5K, as per the media statement. The bank also waves off the loan amount of Rs 2.11 lakh that was earlier due from the deceased debtor, as per the statement.
