Ministry of Infrastructure Development Revokes Licenses of 44 Construction Firms

Ministry of Infrastructure Development has revoked the licenses of 44 construction companies and firms for failing to renew their permits by the end of Chaitra, as required under Sub-section 3 of Section 4 of the Construction Business Act, 2055.

According to the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, the licenses were automatically revoked after the concerned companies failed to renew them within the stipulated deadline. Of the total, seven are 'A' class companies, five are 'B' class, and 32 are 'C' class construction firms.

The 'A' class companies whose operating licenses were revoked include JE Construction, Siddhisai Prakash Construction and Saptakoshi Jaladhar Construction Company of Kathmandu, Chetana Construction of Lalitpur, Janamukhi Construction of Hetauda, Nepal Builders and Engineering company of Chitwan, and Infrastructure S&B Builders of Janakpur.

Among the 'B' class companies are Swastik Shree Vinayak Construction of Hetauda, Purnadeep Nirman Sewa of Dharan, Aaha Construction of Pokhara, Calmin Construction of Jhapa, and Nepal Mother Construction of Rolpa.

Most of the 'C' class companies affected are based in Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Morang, Surkhet and Nuwakot.
