Ministry Division Finalized: Barsaman Pun to Head Finance, Key Portfolios Allocated Across UML, Maoist, and Rastriya Swatantra Party

The ruling coalition, comprising the UML and Maoist parties, has successfully concluded discussions on the allocation of ministries. The alliance convened on Wednesday and reached a consensus on the distribution of key portfolios.

As per the agreement finalized during the meeting, Narayan Kaji Shrestha from the Maoist party is set to reassume his role as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, while Barsaman Pun will take charge of the Ministry of Finance.

Furthermore, the coalition has decided that Raghubir Mahaseth, representing the UML, will serve as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Physical Infrastructure. Rabi Lamichhane, hailing from the Rastriya Swatantra Party, is slated to become the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs.

The Rastriya Swatantra Party is expected to secure three ministries, with Sumana Shrestha appointed as the Minister of Education, Biraj Bhakta Shrestha as the Minister of Youth and Sports, and Deputy Chairman Dol Prasad Aryal taking on the role of the Labor Minister.

This latest arrangement follows the earlier appointments of Padam Giri from UML, Aryal from the Rastriya Swatantra Party, and Hit Bahadur Tamang from the Maoist party as ministers.
