On Saturday, March 28, 2026, millions of people across the United States took part in a massive wave of demonstrations known as the "No Kings" protests. Organizers estimated that over 8 million people gathered at more than 3,300 events, making it the largest single-day protest in American history. People marched in major cities like New York, Washington, D.C., and Chicago, as well as in hundreds of small towns in all 50 states.

The crowds gathered to voice their disagreement with several government actions. Many were upset about strict new immigration rules and recent shootings involving federal agents. Others marched to show they were against the ongoing war in Iran or were worried about the government having too much power. In some places, famous singers and leaders joined the crowds to give speeches and lead songs. Despite the large numbers, the events were mostly peaceful, with people carrying signs, waving flags, and calling for changes in how the country is being run.
