MetLife's Legacy Trees Program: Reforestation For Sustainable Future

MetLife Nepal introduces its Legacy Trees Program, pledging to plant a tree in memory of each policyholder for whom they've paid a life insurance death claim.

The initiative carried out in collaboration with the Arbor Day Foundation and Ecoculture, aims to combat deforestation and support ecosystem restoration in Bara District.

Since its inception in late 2023, 7,000 trees have been planted, symbolizing hope and resilience. The reforestation effort not only honors the deceased but also addresses environmental challenges in Bara, including erosion and flooding.

Through this program, MetLife underscores its commitment to sustainability, driving long-term benefits for communities and the environment.
