MetLife Nepal Launches Critical Illness Plus Rider for Enhanced Financial Protection
MetLife Nepal has introduced a new insurance add-on called Critical Illness Plus, designed to provide immediate financial support upon diagnosis of major serious illnesses.
The rider enhances existing life insurance policies by offering a lump-sum payout that helps cover medical treatment, recovery costs, income loss, and other personal expenses.
The coverage includes 11 major critical illnesses such as cancer, stroke, kidney failure, liver and cardiovascular diseases, and organ transplants. The benefit is paid upon confirmed diagnosis, giving policyholders flexibility to use the funds as needed without restrictions.
The product is designed to be affordable and easy to integrate with existing policies, offering broader financial protection during critical health emergencies.
MetLife Nepal also expanded its Group Critical Illness Rider, increasing coverage options to 14 and 20 illnesses for employees and their families, strengthening corporate health benefits.
Overall, the initiative aims to make critical illness protection more accessible while reducing financial stress during medical crises.
