Mega launches branchless banking in Dhanusha

KATHMANDU, Feb 28:

Mega Bank has launched branchless banking service in Sabaila of Dhanusha district. This is the 25th branchless banking outlet operated by Mega Bank in the country, says a statement issued by the bank. “The service was launched in Dhanusha with the motive of bringing banking service at the doorsteps of rural people,” the statement quotes Yubraj Guragain, head of Mega Micro Banking, as saying.

Earlier this month, Mega Bank had expanded branchless banking service in Farsatikar and Dayanagar of Rupandehi, Sitapur of Banke, Chaumala of Kailali, Rampur of Dang, and Sharadanagar and Khairahani of Chitwan. Mega Bank is planning to commence operation of 24 additional branchless banking outlets within this fiscal year.
