Mega Bank, Lions Clubs form alliance

KATHMANDU, MAR 1: 

Mega Bank and Lions Clubs Nepal on Wednesday entered into a strategic alliance under which the bank will provide banking service to Club members and support various activities of the organization.

As per the three-year agreement signed with Lions Clubs International Multiple District 325 Nepal, Mega Bank will provide financial services to the Lions Clubs as well as its members. 

“Mega Bank has also designed a specially designed co-branded debit card which will be issued to each of the member when they open an account at any one of its 28 branches throughout the country,” a statement issued by Mega Bank says.

Besides, the two partners also intend to work together to support and further strengthen various social initiatives championed by Lions Clubs in Nepal.

Lions Clubs International is the world´s largest service club organization with more than 1.35 million members and 46,000 clubs in 206 countries. 

Lions Clubs are currently restoring sights and preventing blindness on a global scale through their SightFirst Program which has been ongoing since 1990. This year, Lions and the Measles Initiative will vaccinate 10 million children in Nepal, and a total of 157 million children worldwide. 

Both Lions Clubs and Mega Bank are confident that this strategic alliance will be good for both institutions and together they will make MegaLions a great success and an example in corporate-club partnership in the days ahead, according to the statement.
