Mega Bank, JME Remit join hands for money transfer services

Mega Bank Nepal Limited and JME Remit have signed “Money Transfer Services Agreement’.

According to the statement of the bank, Anil Keshary Shah, CEO of Mega Bank and Deependra Joshi, chairperson of JME Remit Company, have signed the agreement amid a ceremony held recently.  

Following the agreement, Mega Bank can now expand its remittance payment service originating from JME Remit through its sub agent network of more than 1,100 Mega Remit agents as currently the Bank has been processing remittance payments of JME Remit through its existing 28 branches.
 
“This arrangement is expected to provide hassle free and faster remittance payment services throughout the country,” reads the statement of the bank.

Mega Bank Nepal Limited has been facilitating remittances from the Middle East, Europe and other countries in association of reputed international remittance service providers.

“The bank also has remittance business arrangements with remittance companies such as IME, Prabhu Remit, Himal Remit, Best Remit, City Express, United Remit, MoneyGram etc. for processing remittance payments throughout the country under its remittance network and proprietary system Mega Remit,” the statement added.
