Mega Bank celebrates 9 glorious years of operation with benevolent contribution towards education; declares one branch one daughter scholarship program with 102 daughters receiving scholarship from all 102 branches

Mega Bank has completed its 9 glorious years of operation and celebrated its anniversary on Shrawan 7, 2076. The anniversary event was also attended and addressed by chairman of the bank Mr. Bhoj Bahadur Shah, CEO Ms. Anupama Khungeli, among others.

In the anniversary event, CEO Ms. Khunjeni informed about “One branch one daughter scholarship scheme” of the bank under which it shall provide financial support to educate 1 female student till her 12 th grade through all the branches of the bank. Ms. Khunjeli also informed that 102 female students have already started receiving scholarships this year and the number will increase in the coming years with its expanding branch network.

The bank also handed financial support of Rs 1 lakh to the needy and diligent student from upper Dolpo Chiring Tawa Budha for the continuation of the higher studies as the student was rendered unable to give continuity to the higher education owing to the deplorable financial situation.

The bank recorded a deposit collection figure of Rs 82 arba, loan disbursement figure of Rs 73 arba, customers of nearly 6.50 lakh in the last year. The bank currently has 102 branches, 19 extension counters, 102 ATM terminals, 119 branchless banking units and 2500 Mega Remit agents. All over the nation.
