A newly built public park located in front of Embark College in Pulchowk, Ward 10 of Lalitpur Metropolitan City, was formally inaugurated on Sunday by Mayor Chiribabu Maharjan. Developed through the initiative of Embark College, the park aims to add green cover and open spaces to the rapidly urbanizing Kathmandu Valley. The new green space features native plants, local flowers, and a water fountain designed to create a clean, peaceful environment for students, local residents, and visitors.

The college emphasized that the park was designed for easy, long-term maintenance to ensure its ongoing upkeep. Ashish Thakur, co-founder and executive director of Embark College, highlighted that the project reflects the institution's commitment to social responsibility, environmental care, and community infrastructure. He added that this park is the first of many initiatives, and the college plans to continue collaborating closely with the local municipality on future community projects.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mayor Chiribabu Maharjan praised the college's proactive step in enhancing urban greenery. He emphasized that partnerships between local government and educational institutions are effective for building useful public infrastructure, noting that the city remains open to similar future collaborations. The inauguration was attended by city officials, college founders, teachers, students, parents, and community members, marking a positive example of local public-private collaboration.
