Market witness minimal gain of 0.62 points; Turnover of Rs 19.66 crore still below average

Nepal Stock Exchange has closed at 1,218.46 points gaining 0.62 points. The market had started at 1,217.84 points which had reached 1,225.42 points at its highest point. However, the market lost few points and closed at 1,218.46 points.

The total transaction for the day was a meager sum of Rs 19.66 crore which was the output of transactions of more than 6.23 lakh unit shares.

Nabil Bank Limited Promoter Share (NABILP) stood ahead in terms of total turnover as more than Rs 93.29 lakh worth of shares was traded during the day. Similarly, Progressive Finance Limited Promoter Share (PROFLP) stood ahead in terms of number of shares traded as 80,000 units were traded during the day.

The shareholders of Arambha Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited (AMFI) earned the most today as the price of the share increased by 27 points. Likewise, the shareholders of Nepal Hydro Developers Limited (NHDL) lost the most today as the price of the share decreased by 24 points during the trading period.

The sensitive index gained 0.12 points however the float index lost 0.04 points throughout the trading period.

Hotels sector lost 64.97 points which was followed by Microfinance sectors losing 6.55 points. Out of the sub-indices, Insurance sector gained 7.38 points which was closely followed by Others which gained 7.26 points.
