Market Summary: While NEPSE Lost 39.23 Points Today, CGH and STC Hit 10% Positive Circuit Breakers

The NEPSE index lost 39.23 points today and closed at 2,416.00. The index opened at 2,406.73 and briefly made an intraday high at 2,428.88. The index lost in intraday action today, going as low as 2,391.4. With this, total volatility of 37.48 points was observed in the trading session today.

11,392,135 shares traded hands via 63,674 transactions. The trading of 212 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 6.25 Arba.

While the float index lost 2.37 points and closed at 166.57, the Sensitive index is at 436.80 after losing 7.12 points.

Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (NTC) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 29.97 crores. The shares of Nepal Credit & Commerce Bank Limited Promoter Share (NCCBPO) traded the most.

Salt Trading Corporation Limited (STC) and Chandragiri Hills Limited (CGH) have technically hit the 10% positive circuit today. Meanwhile, Asian Life Insurance Company Limited (ALICL) lost the most 6.36%.

Only the "Trading" and "Hotels and Tourism" sector gained today, with Trading gaining an impressive 9.26%. Among all other sectors that lost, the sector "Others" lost the most 4.23%.
