NEPSE Gains 43.36 Points and Closes at 2,619.02; Ten of Eleven Sector Indices Close Higher Than Yesterday

The NEPSE index gained 43.36 points today and closed at 2,619.02. The index opened at 2,596.66 and briefly made an intraday low at 2,592.99. The index ultimately closed at the intraday high today.

11,281,625 shares traded hands via 67,148 transactions. The trading of 209 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 6.16 Arba.

While the float index gained 3.36 points and closed at 180.59, the Sensitive index is at 463.59 after gaining 7.48 points.

Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company Limited (HIDCL) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 36.37 crores. Its shares also traded the most.

The four highest gainers have technically hit the 10% positive circuit today, two of which are non-life insurance companies and two are microfinance companies. 

Meanwhile, Rairang Hydropower Development Company Limited (RRHP) lost the most 3.29%.

Only the Trading sector lost 2.27% today. Of all the sectors that gained, the Non-Life Insurance sector is in the lead with a 2.62% index gain.
