The NEPSE index closed at 1,858.33 today after losing 2.61 points from last trading day's closing. This is a loss of 0.14%. The index had lost 9.69 points yesterday.
The index opened at 1,861.55 and made intraday high at 1,864.74. While it went as low as 1,854.24, it ultimately closed at 1,858.33.
219 scrips traded hands via 13,609 transactions. A total of 1,631,349 shares exchanged hands amounting to only Rs. 51.58 Crores in the turnover amount. This is lower than last trading day's turnover of Rs. 80.35 Crores.
Nabil Bank Limited (NABIL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 2.79 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 794 per share. The shares of Prabhu Bank Limited (PRVU) traded the most.
Aviyan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (AVYAN) gained the highest 9.99% and technically hit positive circuit for the day.
On the other side of things, People's Power Limited (PPL) lost 9.97% today.
Six sector indices closed green, "Hotels And Tourism" gained the highest 0.41% while "Finance" lost the highest 1.1%.
