Market rises by a whopping 42.61 points today; Index at 1,255.72 points; 32 companies hit almost upper circuit

The market climbed today by a massive 42.61 points or 3.51% closing at 1,255.72 points. The total turnover for today stood at Rs 1.33 arba with 38.31 lakh units shares traded via 15,907 transactions. Today's index is the highest since August 04, 2019. Similarly, the volume is highest since May 30, 2019.

The market today has opened at 1,213.19 points and throughout the day it increased to 1,255.72 points. The sensitive index also rose by 8.47 points reaching 272.73 points at the end of the day.

Nepal Life Insurance (NLIC) had the highest turnover of Rs 5.88 crore today. Similarly, shares of Prabhu Bank (PRVU) was the highest traded scrip. A total of 1.22 lakh units PRVU shares were traded.

The top gainer for the day is Nepal Insurance (NICL) climbing 31 points or 10% reaching Rs 341 per unit. Likewise the top loser for today is Mountain Hydro Nepal (MHNL). It lost 2 points or 2.15% and closed at Rs 91.

All the subindices for today rose and closed in green. The non-life insurance and life insurance sector gained the most thereby grabbing the top spaces.
