MARKET FURTHER GAIN 3.55 POINTS

Further constructing its gain, the stock market of Nepal today came to settle at new height of 714.3 levels. Driven by the yesterday’s news of BASEL III enforcement by Nepal Rastra Bank, the market today climbed additional 3.55 points.

The investors today also continued to lure towards Banking and Financial Institutions scrips. With the expectation of bonus share from the BFIs after the implementation of BASEL III by NRB, the investors are currently opting to buy BFIs shares at current low levels.

Fuelled by such demand Banking today also surged by 4.41 points followed by Development with a 1.86 gain and Finance with a 0.09 points incline.

Similarly, breaking its correction mode, the insurance sector today made a rally of 20.74 points, alongside Insurance , Hydro also made double digit growth of 21.18 points.

Meanwhile, Others sector today slipped by 3.53 points, alongside it Hotels also declined by 1.13 points.

Altogether there were trade of 118 scrips, among which 68 scrips gained,  14 scrips remained intact and 36 scrips suffered loss.

The best performer among the traded scrips was NDEP Development Bank Limited (NDEP), closed at Rs 121, with a gain of Rs 11 or  10 percent. Whereas the worst performer was Kaski Finance Limited  (KAFIL), closed at Rs 132, with loss of Rs 9 or 6.38 percent.

The scrips with the highest turnover in today’s trade was KIST Bank Limited  (KIST), closed at Rs 199, with trading of 657,545 units worth Rs 128,624,690 via only 18 transactions.

The total turnover of the market today decreased to Rs 490,157,131 which was carried out through 2,777 transactions totaling 1,732,298 units.
