Manakamana Cable Car service observes 25th anniversary; carrying over 11 lakh customers each year
Manakamana cable Car service has observed its 25th anniversary on Mangsir 8, 2080.
The first cable car service of Nepal began its operation amid the challenging time of Nepalese civil war where there were a very few travelers during its early years. now, the cable car service serves more than 11 lakh customers each year. The company is now mulling to fully digitize the cable car technology by 2025 thus replacing the present analog system with massive investment. In addition, it is also constructing a new luxury resort at the cable car station in Gorkha, as per the media statement.
