Manakamana Bank announces profit of Rs. 124 m

Manakamana Development Bank (MDB) has said that it succeeded to make a profit of Rs. 124 million during the fiscal year 2009/10.The bank unveiled its profit margin on the occasion of its annual general meeting (AGM) on Thursday in the capital.
The bank had also succeeded to collect the deposit of Rs. 1.76 billion and loan and advances of Rs. 1.928 billion during the period, the bank said in its press statement issued on the occassion. The banks’ non performing asset also reduced to 4.09 percent from 72.4 percent last fiscal year compared to the same period previous fiscal year.On the occasion, the bank also announced that it will expand its branches with the aim to facilitate its customers.
The bank is set to open branches in Gongabu, Kalimati in the capital, and Lumbini, Butwal, Narayangadh, Chandranigahapur, Charikot and Rukum outside the valley during the current fiscal year.
