Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank reassures to bring all culprits of its recent Kumaripati branch Gold loan scam into legal net; urges media outlets not to cover unverified news and influence ongoing CIB investigation

Mahalaxmi Bikash Bank has issued a media statement to update on the issue of recently reported gold loan fraud that reportedly took place under the collusion between its former gold tester at Kumaripati branch and the borrowers with criminal intent.

The development bank has urged the media publications not to indulge in propaganda based news coverage about the issue which could hamper the ongoing investigation, has assured all the related parties that the bank is mindful to protect all its depositors, and claims that justice would be served.

The bank has informed that it has already reached out to the Nepal Police and Central Investigation Beuro for the timely and judicious investigation of the crime and to compensate its lost asset from the culprits, as stated in the media statement.
