Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank Provides Essential Supplies to Fire-Hit Families in Mahottari

Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank Limited (MLBL) provided relief materials to approximately 545 people from 150 families affected by a devastating fire in Matihani Municipality Ward No. 6, Mahottari.

The fire, which occurred on Wednesday, 12th Baishakh 2081, destroyed over 100 houses and damaged 50 others, resulting in an estimated property loss of more than 150 million.

The bank distributed essential supplies including 750 kg of flour, 750 kg of rice, 75 kg of dal, 75 liters of oil, 150 packets of salt, 450 bars of soap, and 150 boxes of noodles.

The relief items were handed over to the affected families by Mr. Hari Prasad Mandal, Mayor of Matihani Municipality, and Sudip Chandra Pokhrel, Head of the Bank's Madhesh Regional Office, with assistance from Janakpur branch employees.
