Machhapuchchhre Bank expands QR code-based payment at Surunga of Jhapa; aims to digitize local economy

Machhapuchchhre Bank has initiated QR code-based payment system at different places in Surunga of Jhapa.

The QR code system was inaugurated by Mayor of Kankai Nagarpalika Mr. Rajendra Kumar Pokharel and Deputy Governor of NRB Mr. Bam Bahadur Mishra amid a program on Mangsir 27, 2078.

After the new arrangement, customers can pay for their purchases at different markets in the area through their mobile banking services by scanning the bank’s QR code while the merchants can directly receive the funds right at their bank accounts, as per the media statement.
