Lumbini General Insurance Company Calls 17th AGM on Ashad 29; When's the Book Closure for 10% Dividend?

Lumbini General Insurance Company Limited (LGIL) has called its 17th AGM on 29th Ashad, 2079. The meeting will be held in Amritbhog Catering, Kalikasthan, Dillibazar, Kathmandu, starting from 11 am that day.

Among other agendas, the AGM will endorse a 10% dividend for the fiscal year 2077/78. The 248th meeting of the board of directors held on Ashad 08 decided to distribute the dividend on the paid-up capital of Rs. 1.19 Arba. 9.5% bonus shares worth slightly over Rs. 11,38,94,550 and 0.5% cash dividend (including tax) worth slightly over Rs. 59,94,450 have been proposed. This will raise the paid up capital of the company to Rs. 1.31 Arba.

Additionally, there are agendas to identify and select a suitable insurance company for a merger or acquisition in order to raise the company's capital, as well as to raise its authorized capital from Rs. 1.25 Arba to Rs. 3 Arba.

Ashad 15 is the book closure date. Thus, the shareholders maintained till that day are entitled to dividend payout and attend this AGM.
