LOWER PARTICIPATION IN NEPSE

Following the suspension of broker number 1,8,10,19,21,38 and 46 from the today’s trade because of their dues in Nepse, the participation in the market was lower today.  The lack of buyers and overflow of shares kept the market tilted towards the red zone for the entire session. The market plunged by 1.57 points to close at 493.37 levels today

The absence of Brokers also impacted the turnover today as it came to stand at Rs 37,705,629. Last time the turnover in the market came around this level was in 8th January, 2013 worth Rs 36 million. Overall 129,083 units of share were traded via 798 transactions and the market capitalization at the end of the day stood at Rs 488,832.14 Millions.

Among the sub-indices, only Hydro made a gain of 1.69 points whereas the rest plummeted in the red zone. Banking suffered the highest loss totaling 2.4 points alongside 2.27 point loss of Hotels sector. Likewise, Insurance tumbled by 1.75 points followed by Development with 0.93 drops. As for Finance made a downfall of 0.23 points.

Overall there were trades of 78 scrips among which 25 scrips increased 10 remained intact and 43 scrips decreased. The best performer for the day was, Tinau Development Bank Limited (TNBL), closed at Rs 136, with Rs 6 or 4.62% gain. Whereas, NB Insurance Co. Ltd. (NBIL), closed at Rs 52, was the worst performer with Rs 5 or 8.77% loss. Among shares trading above par, Arun Sewa Bikas Bank Limited (SEWA), closed at Rs 100, was the top loser with Rs 5 or 4.76% loss.

In case of the highest shares traded among mutual fund, Nabil Balance Fund 1 (NBF1), closed at Rs 10.25, topped with 14,777 units. In case of ordinary scrips, International Leasing And Fin. Co. (ILFC), closed at Rs 126, topped with 19,764 units. In terms of turnover, Everest Bank Ltd (EBL), closed at Rs 1539, topped with 5,843 units worth Rs 8,911,925 via 28 transactions.
