Low business growth and less revenue leads to 12.30% decline in Net Profit of Nepal Telecom; EPS stands at Rs 57.06

Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (NTC)- Nepal Telecom has published the unaudited quarterly report for the fourth quarter of FY 2076/77 today. The net profits of the company decreased from Rs 9.75 arba to Rs 8.55 arba in the fourth quarter with a fall of 12.30%.

The decline in net profit is the result of the decline in revenue from customers. The revenue from customers has decreased by Rs 2.29 arba.

The paid-up capital of the company remains unchanged at Rs 15 arba. The reserves of the company grew to Rs 78.13 arba for the end of the fourth quarter. The investments of the company, which were previously at Rs 11.51 arba, grew to stand at Rs 13.80 arba for the quarter-end.

The company has Rs 11.59 arba as cash and cash equivalents with a decline from Rs 19 arba in the corresponding quarter.

The EPS of the company currently stands at Rs 57.06, which has declined from Rs 65.05 in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

The net-worth per share stands at massive Rs 655 and quarter-end PE stands at 11.48 times.

The government of Nepal is the major promoter of NTC and holds 91.52% shares while the remaining 8.48% of shareholders are the general public.
