Load shedding hours to be slashed from March 15

Minister for Energy Radha Gyawali has said that the load shedding hours would be reduced by two hours from March 15.

Addressing an interaction organised after inspecting the Panauti Hydropower Project in Kavre on Wednesday, Minister Gyawali said that the power outage is going to be decreased targeting the housewives.

She said a study was underway to that regard and it would be implemented soon after receiving the study report.

Stating that works on only three kilometers of a transmission line remained to be completed for bringing electricity from India, the Energy Minister said that the completion of this work would have a positive impact on reducing load shedding hours.

Minister Gyawali inspected the project and acquired information about it.The project with 2,400 kilowatt capacity is now generating 500 kilowatts electricity.
