Laxmi Laghubitta appoints Mr. Jiban Prakash Limbu as chairman after former chairman Mr. Ajaya Bikram Shah joins parent company Laxmi Bank as new CEO
Laxmi Laghubitta Microfinance, a subsidiary company of Laxmi Bank, has received a new chairman as Mr. Jiban Prakash Limbu following the appointment of then chairman Mr. Ajay Bikram Shah as CEO of the Laxmi Bank. The latest decision was endorsed by the 100th board meeting of the financial institution that took place on Kartik 27, 2075. Chairman Mr. Limbu has received oath of his designation and secrecy from Executive Director of Nepal Rastra Bank Mr. Narayan Prasad Paudel amid a program, as stated in the media statement.
In addition, the microfinance institution has also appointed Mr. Amit Sharma and Ms. Anita Upadhya into the board in place of Mr. Ajay Bikram Shah and Ms. Chandani Jha respectively.
The microfinance institution is currently providing microfinance facilities to more than 71K rural folks from 62 branches located at 47 different branches. It has so far extended its line of credit worth Rs 2.98 arba and has raised Rs 1.01 arba in deposit from its members.
