Laxmi Care cycle rally on Saturday

KATHMANDU, March 26:

Laxmi Care Mountain Bike Rally, an annual event of Laxmi Bank, which aims at collecting funds for “Ujyaalo Abhiyaan”, is scheduled for Saturday.

Ujyaalo Abhiyan is an initiative supported by Laxmi Care, a registered non-governmental organization formed by Laxmi Bank staff. The campaign is to install street lights at various places of historical importance.

As part of the initiative, the organization has already installed street lights along the Thapathali Bridge, Patan Durbar Square premise, Sigha Durbar-Bhadrakali road and Chandeshwori Temple premises.

More than 350 cyclists are expected to participate in the open rally, starting from Mangal Bazaar, Patan and ending at St Xavier´s Godavari, covering a distance of 14 km. The rally will start at half past six in the morning.
