Laxmi Bank signs MOU with Nepal Agribusiness Innovation Centre for developing financial access to agri-starts ups and agri-SMEs through banking channel

In order to further strengthen agro financial services initiatives, Laxmi Bank signed an MOU with Nepal Agribusiness Innovation Centre (NABIC) Today. NABIC is Nepal’s first agri focused business incubator and innovation platform which has been providing mentoring, advisory and consulting related services to various agri-businesses. The MOU duly signed by the CEOs of Laxmi Bank Ltd. and NABIC aims to layout framework for cooperation between Laxmi Bank and NABIC for developing financial access to agri-starts ups and agri-SMEs through banking channel such that the bank can market appropriate products to qualified business. The major areas of the cooperation sought is mainly in sharing of information/ expertise, access to networks, joint project development, value chain financing and other relevant areas of common objectives. Laxmi Bank Ltd. is also an Institutional member of NABIC.

The Laxmi Bank network consists of 96 branches and 3 hospital service counters across 46 districts, 108 ATMs, 2,500 remittance agents and 51 branchless banking agents spread across the country.
